Job Description

The Payroll Assistant will provide critical support to the Payroll Department in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of employee payroll processing. Key job functions include:

  • Payroll Support: Assist in preparing weekly payroll for 5000+ employees, including data entry, timekeeping, adjustments, and calculation of wages and deductions.
  • Employee Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate employee records, including changes in salary, tax withholding, and personal information.
  • Timekeeping Verification: Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to hours worked.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred).
  • Experience: Prior experience in payroll processing or a similar role is a plus.
  • Skills: Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel, strong mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail, knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
