Housekeeping Custodian

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Custodian at the Rocky Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our guest rooms, corridors, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, corridors, and facilities to ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Sweep, mop, and polish floors using brooms, mops, and lightweight floor scrubbers and buffers.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and appliances.
• Empty wastebaskets and replace liners.
• Collect and deliver soiled linen and receive clean linen.
• Update room status, occupancy, and checkouts using the telephone system.
• Clean and disinfect lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls.
• Dust ledges, woodwork, and furniture.
• Replace deodorizers, toilet tissues, hand towels, soap, and other complimentary sundry items.
• Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• No previous experience or training is required.
• Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
• Ability to use hand or lightweight powered cleaning tools or equipment.
• Physical ability to frequently lift and empty wastebaskets, lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to continuously stand, stoop, and reach for long periods of time.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English.
• Ability to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Working Conditions:

The work involves light physical effort, such as that involved in using vacuum cleaners and dry mops; running lightweight powered scrubbers and buffers; continually standing, bending, stooping, and reaching; frequently lifting and emptying wastebaskets; frequently pushing carts loaded with dirty laundry or wastepaper; occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds.
