We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at TravelCenters of America. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our customers' heavy duty trucks and trailers.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues with heavy duty trucks and trailers
  • Develop and implement effective repair plans to ensure timely and cost-efficient resolution of issues
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and vehicles
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; trade school or manufacturer's technical school certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a diesel technician or heavy duty truck mechanic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
