Role and Responsibilities
The Nurse Manager will uphold the organization’s mission and values while advocating for high-quality patient care and exceptional service. Key responsibilities include:
1. Serving as a consultant and resource for charge staff, nursing personnel, physicians, and support services.
2. Assigning and overseeing staff to ensure patient needs are met efficiently and effectively.
3. Evaluating the performance of nursing staff.
4. Cultivating a professional atmosphere that encourages teamwork and patient satisfaction.
5. Contributing to the planning and achievement of unit goals aligned with the hospital's philosophy.
6. Assisting in the development of unit budgets through insightful input and recommendations.
7. Directing daily operations and activities.
8. Promoting professional development and supporting staff in their educational endeavors.
9. Ensuring adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as organizational policies.
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience in the relevant specialty is preferred.
Education/Certification: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required, along with a current RN license or an equivalent license recognized by the State Board of Nursing. Maintenance of current BLS certification is also necessary.
