We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Afterschool STEM Education Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing high-quality STEM programming for our after-school program.

About the Role

This is a part-time position working with children grades K-5th. You will work directly with our After School Program Manager and collaborate with fellow Teachers, Group Leaders, and Inclusion Program Manager. As a member of our team, you will model professional behavior and establish clear roles for Group Leaders during programming.

Main Responsibilities

* Develop and execute 40-minute-long weekly enrichment activities for groups of up to 18 students at a time grouped by age and inclusive of varying needs and abilities.
* Submit weekly lesson plans to After School Program Manager using the provided template.
* Collaborate with fellow Teachers, Group Leaders, and Inclusion Program Manager to ensure seamless delivery of STEM programming.
* Maintain strong time management capabilities and communicate effectively with colleagues and students.

Requirements

* At least 1 year of experience working with elementary school-age children.
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
* Excellent organizational and oral communication skills.
* Ability to interact with children and colleagues of diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
* Fast learner with ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Working Conditions

* This is a part-time position requiring availability to work from 3:30-5:30pm at least one day per week.
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
