Wellstar Health System is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated RN Nurse Resident to join our team. As a Nurse Resident, you will be part of our 12-month Nurse Residency Program, designed to support your transition into professional practice as a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in the Nurse Residency Program, which includes System Orientation, Core Nursing Onboarding Sessions, Specialty Onboarding Sessions, and monthly NRP sessions.
- Provide nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with current Wellstar Standards of Care, under the direct supervision of the Unit Manager and in collaboration with the Professional Nurse Educator, Assistant Nurse Manager, and Preceptor.
- Work collaboratively with an interprofessional team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers to ensure high-quality, safe patient care.
- Participate in data collection, pose relevant clinical questions, and proactively plan for patient care across the continuum.
- Develop and implement protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes, in collaboration with care managers and other healthcare team members.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
- Strong critical thinking skills, analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively with various members of the healthcare team.
