Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Maintain clean service areas and perform side work as assigned by management.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage menus, promotions, and special events.
  • Prepare final bills, present checks, accept payment, and process credit card charges or make changes as needed.
  • Monitor and observe guests' dining experiences to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow staff members as situations arise.
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a server in a comparable restaurant is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and understand the English language.
  • Willingness to serve and entertain guests according to the perceived atmosphere and expectation.
  • Working knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor and common drink recipes.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a cash register.
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Punctuality and regular, reliable attendance including reliable transportation.
  • Honesty and integrity; hard working.
  • Good hygiene; coordinated and efficient; multi-task efficiently; organized, accurate.
  • Works in a team environment; works with the public in a calm, courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
  • ServeSafe certified is preferred but not required.
  • TIPS training is preferred but not required.
