About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Nurse Specialist to join our team at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, CT. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with emotional disturbances and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide professional nursing care to patients with complex mental health needs, working closely with clinical and case management staff to coordinate care and develop treatment plans.
  2. Assess patients through interviews and observations, utilizing the nursing process to establish comprehensive goal-directed interdisciplinary plans.
  3. Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure that treatment is appropriate and effective.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience in psychiatric nursing or behavioral healthcare; preferably in an acute setting.
  • Current RN or LPN license in the State of Connecticut, in good standing.
  • Knowledge of psychotropic medications, their effects, and administration procedures.
Estimated Salary

$62,000 - $82,000 per year, based on experience.
