Your Role:
Collaborate effectively with the design team to develop ecological restoration initiatives that align with client objectives, comply with regulatory standards, and enhance the ecological integrity of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor design personnel in the creation of Land Management Plans, Restoration Plans, and other essential documentation for design development, permitting, and construction.
- Coordinate with project team members to establish project goals and timelines, ensuring adherence to submission deadlines for permit applications.
- Produce high-quality design outputs that align with the parameters of the design and permitting contracts, facilitating the achievement of client objectives and compliance with local and state regulatory bodies.
- Present technical details, ecological advantages, and regulatory adherence at public hearings conducted by local Conservation Commissions in collaboration with the project team.
- Maintain close collaboration with Project Managers throughout all project phases, especially during design and permitting, and as the project moves into construction.
- Ensure ongoing communication with clients and other consultants (including engineers and landscape architects) during the design and permitting processes.
- Oversee, assign tasks to, and assess the performance of design staff.
- Assist in sales and client communication as required.
Candidate Profile:
- Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Planning, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in ecological restoration or landscape design.
- Proficient in design software including AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, and familiar with ArcGIS and GPS technologies.
- A collaborative team player with at least one year of management experience.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and equipped with strong time management capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
