Your Role:

Collaborate effectively with the design team to develop ecological restoration initiatives that align with client objectives, comply with regulatory standards, and enhance the ecological integrity of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and mentor design personnel in the creation of Land Management Plans, Restoration Plans, and other essential documentation for design development, permitting, and construction.
  • Coordinate with project team members to establish project goals and timelines, ensuring adherence to submission deadlines for permit applications.
  • Produce high-quality design outputs that align with the parameters of the design and permitting contracts, facilitating the achievement of client objectives and compliance with local and state regulatory bodies.
  • Present technical details, ecological advantages, and regulatory adherence at public hearings conducted by local Conservation Commissions in collaboration with the project team.
  • Maintain close collaboration with Project Managers throughout all project phases, especially during design and permitting, and as the project moves into construction.
  • Ensure ongoing communication with clients and other consultants (including engineers and landscape architects) during the design and permitting processes.
  • Oversee, assign tasks to, and assess the performance of design staff.
  • Assist in sales and client communication as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Planning, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in ecological restoration or landscape design.
  • Proficient in design software including AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, and familiar with ArcGIS and GPS technologies.
  • A collaborative team player with at least one year of management experience.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and equipped with strong time management capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
