About the Position

The County of Riverside - Riverside University Health System (RUHS) - Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, organize, and provide nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with physician instructions
  • Administer prescribed treatment and medications, including dispensing, as ordered to patients
  • Counsel and advise patients, families, and significant others regarding special medical problems and/or proper healthcare methods
  • Prepare and maintain concise and complete records and reports
  • Participate in quality assurance reviews and act as a team leader or relief charge nurse
Requirements
  • Must possess and maintain a current valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California or valid out-of-state license with authorization to work in California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Pediatric Advances Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • NIHSS (Stroke) Certification
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course Certification and Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses certification is highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital, clinic outpatient setting, or healthcare agency program
  • Experience gained as an Interim Permit Nurse may be credited toward meeting the required experience
