Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Sturdy Memorial. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol hospital buildings and grounds to prevent and respond to security incidents
  • Assist patients and protect them from harm
  • Monitor and control access to sensitive areas
  • Write detailed security reports and daily logs
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and secure environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of security experience or advanced schooling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shifts
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of employment
  • MOAB certification required within 30 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous hospital security experience
  • Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification
  • CPR certification
  • Experience using access control and CCTV systems
  • Strong report writing skills
