The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Supervisor, and/or Practice/Office Manager. This position requires a skilled and compassionate individual who can recognize patient needs and symptoms in advance, providing care that is tailored to each patient's unique needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care as directed by the provider, including preparing patients for exams, assisting during treatments, and coordinating tests and follow-up care.
- Assist with patient and family education, promoting a comfortable and safe environment for the delivery of care.
- Participate in shared decision-making groups and committees to advance evidence-based practice and promote a culture of safety and quality.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practice standards and guidelines, applying evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes.
- Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program.
- Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous healthcare experience, preferably in an ambulatory or outpatient setting.
