Position Overview:

The eCommerce Merchandise Planning Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sales, enhancing profitability, and strengthening brand equity through effective management and execution of key merchandising strategies.

Core Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and refine merchandise processes, reporting tools, and systems to support the Merchandise Planning team in managing Intake, Sales, and Product Information.
  2. Conduct in-season performance analysis and trading to ensure that product categories meet established performance metrics through a comprehensive set of KPIs.
  3. Oversee the financial planning and guidance at both category and business segment levels, focusing on critical KPIs such as Net Sales, Standard Margin, Markdowns, Terminal Inventory Management, and Inventory Turn.

Key Duties:
  • Facilitate documentation and insights for monthly inventory meetings to optimize inventory flow planning.
  • Provide regular updates and insights through a reporting suite to the eCommerce Emerging Markets Team and local buying teams, delivering actionable category business and trading updates.
  • Monitor sales plans against actual performance, offering recommendations and insights on product-level performance to inform business decisions.
  • Enhance data requirements to develop tools and reports that support the team, collaborating with analytics for improved merchandising processes.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced knowledge of Retail Management Systems such as SAP AFS, SAP PGR, DVM, and Microstrategy.
  • Experience in dashboarding and data visualization is advantageous.

Education and Experience:
  • A university degree in business, ideally with a focus on sales and finance, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7-8 years of experience in merchandising or related fields, including buying, planning, distribution, and budgeting.
  • Experience in eCommerce is a plus.
  • Functional understanding of Operations and Finance is beneficial.
