Saugus Animal Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Veterinarian to join their team. As a clinical leader, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing clinical practices, delivering patient care, and working in partnership with the Practice Manager to ensure a high standard of medical case management.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent client communication skills, dependability, a great work ethic, a caring attitude, and team leadership attributes. They will also have a strong commitment to practicing excellence in medicine and serving as a professional role model to the entire hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the veterinary team in delivering high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager to ensure effective hospital operations
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior veterinarians
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and best practices

Requirements:

  • DVM or VMD degree
  • Current Massachusetts license or ability to obtain
  • 2-3 years of prior leadership experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
