Transforming Healthcare with EpicCare Ambulatory Lead

NYC Health + Hospitals seeks a highly skilled EpicCare Ambulatory Lead to spearhead clinical operations and drive innovation in our healthcare system.

About the Role:

  • Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of EpicCare ambulatory projects, ensuring seamless integration and optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with EHR/Epic teams, stakeholders, and end-users to develop and implement solutions that meet organizational needs.
  • Lead user groups, project teams, and conference calls, maintaining minutes and follow-up logs to ensure accountability and progress.
  • Work closely with Systems Analysts to develop designs, mockups, and prototypes, and mentor junior and mid-level analysts.
  • Communicate technical design issues to non-technical stakeholders and provide ongoing support to users, managers, corporate directors, and vendors.
  • Facilitate the implementation of new modules or departments from beginning to support, ensuring successful adoption and utilization.
  • Experience with HL7 communications and Epic Certification is required.
  • Strong written and spoken language skills, with a background in clinical healthcare technologies and processes preferred.
  • This role is approximately 80% remote and 20% on-site.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience in data processing, computer systems, and applications, with supervisory experience required for Operations Specialty.
  • Broad knowledge and expertise in computers, communications systems, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management, and retrieval techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EpicCare Ambulatory Certification.
  • Charge Router Certification, Epic Order Transmittal, and Orders Transmittal Certification preferred.
  • Clinical background in Ambulatory Clinics and End User Support experience a plus.
