A Competitive Financial Package
This part-time or full-time position offers an hourly rate paid bi-weekly, with the opportunity to work 1-5 days per week from Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm. The compensation package includes a competitive financial offer that reflects the local market rate in Lake Charles, LA.
Estimated salary: $45-$60 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Summary
We are seeking an Audiologist to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams. This role involves reviewing medical history documentation and capturing responses during the exam through a web-based examination form(s). All documentation will be completed electronically and sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
The Audiologist will perform a comprehensive audio exam to assess hearing loss or tinnitus, including standard testing such as Pure Tone Air and Bone, tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, and speech recognition. All necessary equipment will be available on location with custom soundproof booths.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold an active and unrestricted Audiologist license, possess a master's or doctorate from a program accredited by CAA, ACAE, or ASHA certification, and have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. You will also need good interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and basic computer skills.
