About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Irrigation Systems Engineer to join our team at Flatiron Construction Corp. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of irrigation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with engineering and field crews to review production schedules and confirm materials, equipment, and resources are available for production to continue on schedule and within budget.
  • Review shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements, and project data to ensure quality and contract specification compliance.
  • Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling, identifying risk elements that could negatively impact the budget or schedule.
  • Evaluate daily production, schedule, and budget projections to accurately track project performance.
  • Document daily activities using Company-approved methods and technologies.
  • Update project schedules weekly for owner and management reporting.
  • Attend weekly owner meetings and present on project production status as needed.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of construction engineering experience.
  • 7+ years of civil or structural engineering and irrigation experience, with field experience in agriculture irrigation installation preferred.
  • Experience in resource monitoring techniques, construction technology, process systems, and/or structures.
  • Specialized technical knowledge of design-build or other alternative build techniques.
  • Able to set clear expectations for direct reports and delegate work to engineering teams.
  • Able to manage multiple engineering tasks and progress them towards a common goal.
  • Advanced knowledge of contract specifications and quality assurance practices.
  • Able to identify budget and project costs and recommend options to mitigate project delays.
  • Possess verbal, written, and presentation skills.
