Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist to join our Behavioral Health team at Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and providing assessment and therapeutic recreational activities to patients in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Therapeutic Recreation and physician's orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
  • Provide psycho-educational groups and therapeutic recreational activities
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate records
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or related field
  • One year of clinical experience in behavioral health preferred
  • Ability to obtain National Certification (CTRS) and North Carolina State Licensure (LRT)
