Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker/Cashier to join our team at Chartwells Higher Education. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and serve food to customers, following established recipes and food safety guidelines.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a food service or cash handling role is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
