Job Overview:

This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with advanced-level maintenance positions to ensure continuous and effective operation of our facilities.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $28.00 per hour, plus a shift differential of $2.00 per hour from 3pm to 6am. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, life, dental, and vision plans, as well as up to 2 weeks paid time off during the first year. Additionally, we offer a 401(k) plan with company match and opportunities for advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, including daily inspections and malfunctions repairs
  • Assist advanced-level maintenance positions in keeping all equipment and facility in good repair
  • Inspect and repair boilers, evaporators, condensers, and freon refrigeration units
  • Install and replace motors, pumps, switches, safety controls, solenoids, and fuses
  • Repair and replace improper fittings and broken refrigeration pipes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred
  • Knowledge of refrigeration maintenance, boilers, and ammonia compressors
  • Ability to don/doff and utilize an air purifying respirator (APR) and/or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
  • Qualify for HAZMAT certification and have ability to obtain boiler license
