Emergency Room Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Job Summary:The Emergency Room RN is responsible for providing direct patient care, triaging patients, and coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective care. You will work in a fast-paced environment, making quick decisions and prioritizing tasks to meet the needs of our patients.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including assessing patients, developing care plans, and implementing treatments.
- Triage patients, prioritizing those who require immediate attention.
- Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care, including communicating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications, as ordered by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Respond to critical situations, using your skills and knowledge to make informed decisions.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice, or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, preferred.
- Previous emergency, pre-hospital, or critical care Registered Nurse experience, preferred.
