Job Summary:

The Critical Care Registered Nurse position is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients by:

• Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status and prioritize care

• Implementing evidence-based clinical interventions to improve patient outcomes

• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement patient care plans

• Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families

Essential Functions:

• Conducts and analyzes initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness

• Administers medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and procedures

• Anticipates and responds to rapidly changing patient conditions with confidence and adaptability

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred, not required)

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (preferred, not required)

• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 6 months of hire)

• 1 year of RN experience (required)

• 6 months RN experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit (preferred)
