Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Leader to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a Clinical Nurse Leader, you will play a critical role in supporting frontline team members and leadership in two inpatient departments. Your primary responsibility will be to assist, coordinate, and influence nursing practice excellence in the patient care area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the implementation of evidence-based practice or nursing research studies and translate research findings into best nursing practice for care.
  • Partner with physicians and patient care team members to achieve quality metrics, including but not limited to: hospital-acquired conditions (HACs), team member engagement, STIs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends and advances in assigned area of nursing practice.
  • Collaborate with other team members and leaders to support initiatives in the departments and the hospital level.
  • Use advanced concepts in nursing processes in the clinical setting.
  • Offer support to team members in times of patient care crisis.
  • Positively engage team in change management, comfortable with performance improvement and evaluation of work.
  • Incorporate the St. Luke's Hospital's Comfort/C.A.R.E. Professional Practice Model into their daily nursing practice.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program-BSN required.
  • Three years of clinical experience.
  • Served as preceptor and/or charge RN.
  • Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
  • Multicultural sensitivity.
  • Microsoft Office - basic computer skills.
  • Customer/patient focused.
  • Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
