Job Summary:

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our home healthcare team. This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from their home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for residents in the relevant clinical setting.
  • Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population-specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of residents as per care plans.
  • Possesses the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of residents' status and to provide the care needed.
  • Demonstrates ability to recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively to assist in emergent situations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:
  • A graduate degree in practical nursing from an accredited program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • An associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
  • An unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
  • Obtain and subsequently maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
  • Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
