The Logistics Manager is responsible for directing and managing logistics activities within the manufacturing environment.   2. Work closely with procurement teams to guarantee the timely sourcing of essential raw materials for production.
  3. Oversee supplier and transportation provider relationships to enhance cost efficiency and service quality.
  4. Coordinate the movement of materials from suppliers to the manufacturing site and manage the distribution of finished goods to clients.
  5. Assess transportation alternatives (e.g., freight carriers) for cost efficiency while ensuring high service standards.
  6. Track shipping timelines and address any challenges related to delays or damages during transportation.
  7. Review logistics operations for potential efficiency gains; propose modifications that boost productivity and reduce expenses.
  8. Promote a safety-first culture within the logistics team by adhering to industry regulations and best practices.
  9. Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations concerning transportation, safety, and environmental matters.
  10. Generate reports on logistics performance metrics for management review; identify trends or areas requiring attention.
  11. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Authority

Authority to approve various departmental processes, including purchase requisitions and vendor approvals.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics management, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including inventory management systems (e.g., ERP software).

Essential Competencies

  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Analytical mindset focused on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while working under pressure.
  • Proficient in logistics software applications for tracking shipments and managing inventory.

Work Environment

The position involves working in enclosed office spaces and on the production floor.

Physical Requirements

Physical demands include sitting at a desk, using a computer, walking, standing, and reaching regularly; ability to speak and hear; ability to visually discern product color and shading variations; entering text or data via keyboard; and manual dexterity for handling tasks.
