Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University. As a Vascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality ultrasound images of the body for diagnostic purposes and interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general and vascular examinations using diagnostic ultrasound equipment
  • Exercise good judgment in ascertaining necessary measurements for the area being examined
  • Deliver patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Act as a mentor for less senior vascular technologists
  • Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson
  • Perform vascular ultrasound procedures, including Carotid Duplex Ultrasounds, Pulse Volume Recordings, Peripheral Vascular Arterial studies, and Peripheral Vascular Venous Studies
  • Utilize and optimize the use of all software applications, including the PACS system and echocardiographic reporting system
  • Maintain ultrasound and lab equipment and examination rooms in appropriate operating condition
  • Perform other related technologist duties as directed by the lead technologist, supervisor, or manager
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved RDMS program or current validated Registry from ARRT in Radiology Technology (R)
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience as a cardiac sonographer; minimum one (1) year vascular experience
  • Ability to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check
