This is a permanent position with an hourly compensation package. The role requires onsite work five days a week in Austin, Texas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting senior technicians and conducting routine checks on servers to prevent overheating. They will also perform basic maintenance tasks on servers, participate in preventative maintenance programs, and assist with facilities and equipment inspections.

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate must follow standard operating procedures for data center operations and demonstrate a willingness to participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge related to data center operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support senior technicians in maintaining efficient server operations
  • Conduct regular checks on servers to ensure optimal performance
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on servers and participate in preventative maintenance programs
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a safe and organized working environment
  • Participate in training programs to improve technical skills and knowledge related to data center operations

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience working with mechanical or electrical systems, including transformers, generators, switchgear, and UPS systems
  • Familiarity with basic tools such as wrenches, socket wrenches, drills, and other equipment
  • One year of experience working with HVAC systems or electrical systems
  • Able to lift and move 50 pounds consistently
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work as part of a team
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
