Job Summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency medical treatment at accident scenes or medical emergencies
  • Distinguish between life-threatening and non-life-threatening situations
  • Record and communicate patient data to medical authorities
  • Initiate necessary treatments according to established protocols
  • Assess patient response and make appropriate adjustments
  • Perform daily checks and maintenance on equipment
  • Obtain patient information for insurance purposes
  • Collaborate with advanced life support personnel as needed

Requirements

Education - High School graduate or equivalent

Experience - One year of Emergency Medical Service experience preferred

Licensure, Certification - Must be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician in the State of Virginia
