Job Description

Cricut is seeking a highly skilled Lead iOS Mobile Software Engineer to join their team.

This individual will play a crucial role in enhancing the iOS native apps and pushing them to new heights. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clean code and a drive to solve any technological challenge that comes their way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team on a hands-on basis to drive innovation and excellence in iOS app development.
  • Lead technical architecture, coding standards, and team processes to ensure seamless integration and efficient workflow.
  • Work with Product Managers and UX Designers to refine product requirements and guide technical direction.
  • Plan work for the team and participate in quarterly planning to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop well-structured, modular code using software engineering design patterns to ensure maintainability and scalability.
  • Run Scrum ceremonies and maintain the backlog to ensure efficient project management.
  • Mentor junior team members and delegate tasks effectively to foster growth and development.
  • Conduct code reviews, write tests, and contribute to architectural planning to ensure high-quality code and robust architecture.
  • Work with API teams on design and drive software releases to ensure timely and successful deployment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or relevant field with 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in iOS mobile native applications with Swift/SwiftUI.
  • Knowledge of iOS UI design principles and development life cycle.
  • Experience with design architectures like MVVM, MVC, VIPER.
  • Proficiency in consuming RESTful web services and testing applications.
  • Familiarity with Git, Scrum/Agile methodologies, and mentoring junior members.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Desire to continuously learn new technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Internationalization.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with offshore contractors.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery tools.
  • Familiarity with Core Animation, Core Graphics, Core Bluetooth.
  • Understanding of performance profiling and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
