Position Overview:
The Preconstruction Project Manager plays a crucial role in steering preconstruction initiatives, encompassing project development and targeted pursuits for River City Construction. This role necessitates close collaboration with the Preconstruction Department to guide projects through various phases, ensuring they are meticulously planned for timely completion and budget adherence.
- Project Development: Identify and cultivate a strategic list of 'alternative delivery' projects and negotiated work that aligns with River City Construction's core market sectors. Establish a Client Relations Management (CRM) system to enhance engagement with repeat clients.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with Clients, Design Partners, Subcontractors, and Vendors that correspond with River City Construction's key market sectors.
- Pursuit Management: Oversee all elements of the Pursuit Phase driven by the Project Development Pipeline. Lead efforts to create Project Proposals and conduct Project Interviews, including organizing team preparation sessions and participating in interviews.
- Preconstruction Leadership: Direct all facets of the preconstruction process to ensure projects are shovel-ready, with careful planning for on-time delivery and budget compliance. Collaborate with the estimating team to finalize milestone budgets and work with project teams to establish comprehensive project schedules. Engage with design teams to guarantee the achievement of design deliverables and prepare all necessary bid package documents.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- A 4-year degree is preferred, ideally in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, effective time management, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively. A mindset of selflessness, humility, and emotional intelligence is essential.
- No specific certifications or licenses are required.
