Job Description

The Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving the performance of rotating equipment assets on site, leading rotating reliability programs, and identifying and managing systems reliability risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement equipment reliability strategies to maximize asset value creation, safe equipment operation, and controlled cost of ownership.
  • Lead rotating reliability programs to improve unit performance and align with business financial objectives.
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis investigations on failed equipment and develop action plans to eliminate repeat failures.
  • Collaborate with production to identify key areas for reliability improvements and develop action plans to integrate the rotating equipment program with the OEE process.
  • Provide technical support to the Engineering Department on the selection of mechanical equipment based on reliability improvements and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or minimum 15 years applicable experience in reliability engineering role.
  • Preferably from the chemicals, petrochemical, or manufacturing industry.
  • Proven performance leading rotating equipment programs and understanding of basic industry standards, recommended practices, and/or regulatory conditions/considerations for rotating equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer-focused to provide quality service and improve equipment and process reliability.
