Physician - VA Section Chief Infectious Disease

The University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Baltimore VA Medical Center are seeking a highly skilled physician-scientist to serve as the next Chief of the Infectious Disease Section at the Baltimore VA Medical Center.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the advancement of medical research and education. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of clinical training, administrative experience, and research productivity.
The Baltimore VAMC is affiliated with the University of Maryland School of Medicine and is located on campus, attached to the University of Maryland Medical Center by a walk-bridge. The medical center is an important training site for University of Maryland medical students, residents, and infectious disease fellows.
The selected candidate will have an established record of research productivity, as well as a proven record of past and current grant funding and scholarly activity. Prior experience at a VA Medical System hospital is preferred. Additionally, as this position will be funded, in part, by the VA, all candidates must be US Citizens.
