Role Overview:
The Automotive Service Attendant is responsible for maintaining the dealership's organization, parking vehicles in designated areas, delivering vehicles to customers, welcoming guests upon arrival, and guiding them to the appropriate personnel for assistance.
The Service Attendant aims to deliver a five-star experience by providing exceptional customer service with a professional, courteous, and positive demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- All attendants must navigate the dealership grounds with care, professionalism, and a sense of urgency in response to all requests.
- Professional greetings and effective communication are vital in this role, including phrases like "It's my pleasure," "I understand how you feel," or "Good question, let me find that out for you right now."
- All attendants should remember that being ready to clock in means being on stage. This entails greeting all guests with a smile, maintaining a positive attitude and body language, actively listening, and adhering to the dress code and conduct standards. Every guest's experience at the dealership must be exceptional.
- Customer Service Essentials: Always strive to exceed guest expectations and provide a five-star experience.
- Kindly direct guests to the appropriate personnel for assistance.
- When delivering vehicles to guests at the designated pickup area, park in the pickup lane, announce the vehicle's readiness, and ensure the vehicle is clean and free of tags before the guest enters. Greet each guest with a smile and professionalism, thanking them for their visit.
- Prior to vehicle delivery, all attendants must conduct a quality control inspection, checking the vehicle's exterior, windshield, rims, tires, and interior cleanliness. If the vehicle does not meet quality standards, contact the car wash department for immediate re-cleaning.
- Effective communication and teamwork are crucial in this role. We expect all employees to demonstrate professional conduct, respectful communication, and support for one another. Teamwork enhances productivity, engagement, and overall workplace satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Friendly demeanor with high energy and a commitment to going above and beyond.
- Valid driver's license with a minimum of seven years of driving experience.
- Highly responsible, professional, and dependable.
- Unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Capable of maneuvering vehicles in tight spaces safely.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer and internet proficiency.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
