Job Summary:

DispatchHealth Imaging is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiographer to join our team. As a Mobile Echo technologist, you will travel locally to diagnose patients in their own homes or at a facility, utilizing portable digital x-rays, ultrasounds, EKGs, holter monitors, echocardiograms, and dopplers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiography studies for patients in a variety of service locations, including private residences, senior care facilities, short-term rehabilitation facilities, specialty clinics, and correctional facilities.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and protocols while performing echo exams.
• Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies based on established protocols and procedures.
• Collect or verify all required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
• Operate portable ultrasonic equipment with cardiac capabilities at patients' bedside or other designated exam settings.
• Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
• Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
• Transmit images and all required associated documentation to cardiologists in a timely manner according to company protocols.
• Complete all forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed according to standard protocols.
• Upload all required documents into company systems according to company protocols.
• Maintain equipment, including cleaning and disinfecting according to company procedures.
• Take good care of company vehicles and ensure they are well-stocked with necessary supplies prior to each shift.
• Operate and behave in full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Orient new staff and train students, if requested.
• Assist with order taking, validation of studies, communication with reading cardiologists, customer call-backs, and other administrative and customer support functions as directed.

Requirements:

To qualify as a Mobile Echo technologist, you must meet all state-specific and federal requirements for training, education, competency, certification, and state license to perform, including one or more of the following:
• Adult Cardiac Sonographer with a satisfactory completion of an accredited non-invasive cardiovascular training program, with a focus in adult echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound studies
• ARDMS registered in adult echocardiography with RDCS (AE) designation OR CCI registered with Cardiac Sonographer designation required.
• Two (2) years' experience as a cardiac sonographer or vascular tech preferred.
• Additional Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) desired.
