Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Dialysis Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, training, and home support to our patients. You will work collaboratively with our team members, skilled nursing home facility representatives, and dedicated Nephrologists to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care, training, and home support to patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD);
- Collect and record relevant patient health data in the course of/pre/post hemodialysis treatment;
- Develop and maintain a plan of care that describes interventions to attain expected outcomes;
- Implement and record interventions to attain expected outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR);
- Perform laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures and reschedule missed or inadequate laboratory collections;
- Perform clerical tasks in addition to patient care, including filing, inventory management, admission documentation, creating patient charts, etc.;
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude to all patients and colleagues;
- Occasional travel to other nearby locations;
- Medication administration and documentation.
Requirements:
- BS/AA/diploma in nursing with at least 12 months of RN experience (3 months in hemodialysis) preferred;
- Valid RN license;
- BLS certification;
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required.
