Our Nuclear Projects and Consulting division is a premier service provider to governmental energy departments, delivering safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our offerings encompass program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering and construction.
We seek a seasoned and collaborative professional who excels in synchronizing teams and ensuring projects are executed not only on schedule but also within budget. You will be overseeing large-scale and intricate projects for a diverse clientele, including both commercial sectors and federal agencies.
As the Engineering Project Manager, your role will involve planning, directing, and coordinating engineering efforts for designated design projects, ensuring that client objectives are met within specified timelines and budgetary constraints in the realm of nuclear operations and engineering. The position may require some travel.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of design experience with progressive responsibility is required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction at all organizational levels.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required, with the ability to obtain a PE in the relevant state.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering design discipline is necessary.
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary design projects is crucial.
- Proven ability to lead large interdisciplinary engineering teams.
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory; dual citizenship or visa holders are not eligible for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12-16 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing costs, schedules, and contracts for engineering design projects.
- Possession of a Q clearance or eligibility to obtain one is advantageous.
- Experience with NQA-1 standards is a plus.
- Prior experience collaborating with subcontractors to produce cohesive designs is beneficial.
- Experience with Department of Energy nuclear projects is preferred.
- Current or former U.S. security clearance is desirable.
- A Master’s degree in engineering is advantageous.
- Proximity to the office location is preferred.
Work Environment:
Standard office equipment will be provided, including necessary software.
Attendance:
Mandatory on-site security training is required prior to commencing project duties. Timely resolution of issues is expected, and travel may be necessary as required.
Other Essential Functions:
U.S. Citizenship is required. A valid driver’s license is necessary. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is essential. Professional conduct that enhances productivity and fosters teamwork is expected. Appropriate grooming and attire are required to ensure safety and professionalism. A pre-employment drug and background check must be successfully completed.
