About the Role:

This position involves making custom fabrication and aluminum storefronts by reading fabrication packets and drawings, pulling stock, cutting aluminum, drilling and punching holes, laying out aluminum frames and doors, quality checking products, and loading them onto work carts. The role requires moving metal materials from one location to another to expedite product flow throughout the plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • On/off-loading of products from racks, rolling carts, delivery trucks, or wood crates
  • Performing work as assigned by supervisor
  • Reading, understanding, and communicating effectively
  • Completing appropriate paperwork
  • Attaching labels and tags to products and packages
  • Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure
  • Notifying lead person or supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work area
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, decimals normally acquired through high school education or equivalent
  • Work overtime with flexible starting times in some departments
  • Lift up to 75 pounds
  • Stand and walk on concrete floor for eight hours or more
  • Wear company-issued arm guards, hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection
  • Use of power chop saw, CNC mill, manual mill, air and electric drills, power screw gun, and welding equipment
Physical Requirements:
  • Constant carrying, reaching, standing, and walking
  • Tight gripping, cupping, clamping hand and wrist motions are required to support, carry, and maneuver up to 75 lbs. of objects/metal to platform heights of 3 feet in a manner considered safe for self and others
  • Frequent bending/twisting
  • Occasional typing/keyboarding; ability to use wrists/hands/fingers
