Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at the Elma School District.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating students with communication disorders, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess students to determine if further evaluation is needed
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address communication disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop IEPs and provide support to students
  • Provide speech and language therapy to students to minimize the impact of communication disorders on student success
  • Facilitate meetings and processes for eligible students to present evaluation results, develop treatment plans, and provide training to parents/guardians/students and staff
Requirements:
  • A valid Washington State Teaching ESA Certificate Endorsed in Speech-Language Pathology
  • WSP/FBI fingerprints background clearance
  • A Certification of Clinical Competencies (CCCs)
  • Clinical Fellowship Year candidate accepted
  • Knowledge and/or experience with federal and state special education regulations, preferred
