Job Overview

Position Summary:

The primary objective of the Patient Scheduling Specialist is to create a welcoming, supportive, and stress-free atmosphere for patients receiving surgical treatment. This role is essential in ensuring that patients' needs are met and that they receive optimal care throughout their experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all scheduling activities for both new and returning patients, ensuring the collection of essential patient and insurance details prior to appointments.
  • Welcome and check-in patients upon arrival.
  • Input patient data accurately into the system.
  • Digitally archive all patient records and information.
  • Handle incoming calls and route them to the appropriate personnel when not related to scheduling.
  • Regularly assess the scheduling system for efficiency and implement adjustments as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication with referring physicians regarding shared patients.
  • Conduct confirmation calls to patients to inform them of their appointment times and pre-operative instructions.
  • Exhibit teamwork by being flexible and ready to assist in various capacities as needed.
