Industrial Engineer 4

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer 4 to support various programs under Advanced Weapons Systems in California.

The role of the Industrial Engineer (IE) is to drive Northrop Grumman's success by utilizing capacity modeling software, digital transformation and common IE tactics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Capable in working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead and/or supports key operational excellence plans for the site.
  • Develops and maintains capacity model using FlexSim for a mixed-model production environment with frequent product introductions (equipment and labor).
  • Manages KPI's within a digital environment
  • Experience with MES Production System
  • Develops and maintains plant layout to support growth and equipment changes.
  • Conducts work measurement studies to establish operational and production standards.
  • Develops and implements operations KPI reporting metrics.
  • Provides input for identification and planning of department goals and budget, development, standardization, and implementation of initiatives intended to improve the quality, cost and delivery performance.
  • Supports productivity, quality, process efficiency, space utilization, standardization and lead time improvement efforts.
  • Digital Transformation support
  • Provides production layout, operations, and planning support for new product introduction

Salary Range: $120,900 - $181,300

The salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your technical skills and knowledge to drive process improvements and optimize manufacturing operations. As an Industrial Engineer 4, you will be responsible for leading operational excellence plans and developing capacity models to support growth and equipment changes. You will also conduct work measurement studies to establish operational and production standards.
