Certified Nursing Assistant

Woodside is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.
Job SummaryThe primary purpose of this position is to provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents in accordance with their assessment and care plan. You will work closely with our nursing team to ensure that each resident receives the best possible care.
Responsibilities- Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist residents with daily functions, such as dental and mouth care, bath functions, and combing of hair
- Transport residents to new rooms or to the receiving area
- Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
- Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed
- Assist in preparing residents for physical examinations
- Check each resident routinely to ensure that their personal care needs are being met in accordance with their wishes
- Observe and report the presence of pressure areas and skin breakdowns to prevent decubitus ulcers (bedsores)
- Report injuries of an unknown source, including skin tears
- Observe disoriented and comatose residents. Record and report data as instructed
- Perform special treatments as instructed
- Immediately notify the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse of any resident leaving/missing from the facility
- Use only the equipment you have been trained to use
- Report defective equipment to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse
- Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information. Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information
- Report all allegations of resident abuse and/or misappropriation of resident property
- Honor the resident's refusal of treatment request. Report such requests to your supervisor
To be successful in this role, you must possess a minimum of a 10th-grade education and be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state. You should also have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Additionally, you should be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is usually low to moderate noise level. You may be required to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
