Job Overview

Novant Health is seeking a full-time NICU Registered Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) at Hemby Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC.

Compensation Package

The compensation package includes a signing bonus up to $20,000 and relocation reimbursement up to $7,500. The estimated annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 based on national averages for similar positions in the region.

Job Responsibilities
  • Establish personal relationships with patients and their support systems, incorporating education into interdisciplinary care plans.
  • Prioritize job duties according to patient needs and acuity levels, ensuring timely completion of care interventions and medical orders.
  • Administer and evaluate medication therapies, perform patient transfers, and transport patients as needed.
  • Evaluate patient needs and provide routine respiratory care, including ABGs and bronchial hygiene therapy, as well as higher-level care in critical areas and emergent situations.
  • Demonstrate independence in Respiratory Care, practicing according to state requirements and standards.
  • Critical Care Specific: Ventilator management, code blue response, airway management, blood gas analysis interpretation, and protocol-driven patient care.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, 2-year Associate Degree required, 4-year Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RCP licensure in the applicable state.
