Position Overview:
Oversee and direct the academic advising team, engaging in the provision of comprehensive academic guidance and student services for all current, prospective, and post-baccalaureate students pursuing undergraduate programs within the School of Health Sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and administration to implement degree requirements and assess course equivalencies. Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing student success and effectively resolve conflicts by liaising with faculty and administration as necessary.
Administrative Support:
Provide essential administrative assistance to department chairs, program directors, deans, and other designated personnel. Generate reports on enrollment and student data critical for planning future semester schedules. Maintain communication with administration and faculty regarding course offerings and sequencing.
Monitoring and Development:
Oversee registration and course offerings each semester, ensuring timely updates, especially during enrollment periods when adjustments are needed to accommodate student demand and retention.
Collaboration:
Act as a liaison in the creation of articulation agreements with other institutions. Supervise, mentor, and facilitate professional development for full-time academic advisers, clerical staff, interns, and student employees.
Technological Integration:
Lead the integration and delivery of technological advising services to current and prospective online students. Manage the academic advising databases and advise the university team on the implementation of degree audit systems.
