Job Title: Quality Assurance Team Leader

Crown Holdings is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our plant operations, you will lead, direct, and coordinate the activities of a production team to achieve plant goals of safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and foster a culture where safety is the first priority, ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements and safe working practices.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and quality control.
  • Conduct daily meetings with temporary personnel to prepare them for daily activities and ensure they are aware of production goals and expectations.
  • Monitor production reports, equipment data, and manning reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with plant experts and outside services to resolve production problems and improve quality.
  • Enforce company policies, plant regulations, and norms, and correct non-conformances through coaching, training, and/or discipline.
  • Oversee specific parts of the safety program, including STOP/SAFE, employee incentive programs, and food safety requirements.
  • Manage activities related to spoilage, including daily collection and analysis of spoilage data and leading corrective action teams to address spoilage issues.
  • Focus on individual machine performance, including run times, faults, reliability, and yield analysis.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required; 2-5 years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment or 2-year Associate or Technical degree.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct group presentations or confidential conversations.
  • Good decision-making skills, with the ability to develop corrective action options, evaluate options, and implement appropriate options.
  • Demonstrated experience using computer software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safe working practices.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • AS400 (IBMi) and advanced computer skills (Access) preferred.
  • Six Sigma certification.
