Job Overview

This exciting role is part of Apple's Information Security (AIS) team, dedicated to developing innovative services that identify and mitigate security risks. As a Software Developer in this position, you'll be at the forefront of designing cutting-edge solutions to protect Apple's networks.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience working with advanced telemetry, detection, and response software tools to secure and protect Apple's networks. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Partnering with cross-functional teams across Apple to prioritize and build the product roadmap.
  2. Advocating for your solutions and securing buy-in from relevant stakeholders.
  3. Continuously researching, driving, and developing solutions to address emerging security threats.
  4. Evaluating the accuracy and timeliness of telemetry, detection, and response actions.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience with Rust and/or Go programming languages, with familiarity with C/C++, Swift, Objective-C, or Scala as an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of computer science data structures and algorithms, with expertise in SQL and No-SQL data stores.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP, container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and Microservices architecture.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with observability technology such as eBPF.
  • Expertise in open-source endpoint security tools and log aggregation/distributed monitoring tools like Splunk and Elastic Stack.
  • Proficiency in application tracing, monitoring, analysis, and visualizations through analytics dashboards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams.
Compensation and Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one aspect of our comprehensive total compensation package. For this role, the estimated salary range is between $175,800 and $312,200, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also enjoy benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted products and services, and educational reimbursement opportunities.
