Respiratory Care Specialist

Position Overview:
The Respiratory Care Specialist is responsible for executing comprehensive respiratory therapy services. This includes conducting EKGs, performing infant hearing screenings, and executing arterial punctures and capillary blood gas collections. The role also involves supporting nursing staff with respiratory-related educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Administer all facets of respiratory therapy.
2. Conduct diagnostic tests such as Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT) and Pulmonary Stress Tests, as well as EEG and NCV, if trained.
3. Participate in rehabilitation programs focused on cardiac and pulmonary health.

Work Schedule:
Normal urgency with varied night shifts.

Licensing Requirements:
State license required upon acceptance of the position.

Experience Requirements:
Less than one year of relevant experience is acceptable.

Guaranteed Hours:
A minimum of 36 hours per week.

Specialty Area:
Cardiopulmonary care with a focus on Respiratory Therapy.

Certifications:
Current BLS/BCLS certification is required.

Bilingual Requirement:
This position does not require bilingual capabilities.

Electronic Medical Records:
Experience with CPSI/Evident EMR systems is preferred.

Holiday Coverage:
No holiday coverage is required for this role.
