About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cage Cashier to join our team at Hollywood Casino Joliet. As a Cage Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring the smooth operation of our cash handling processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist guests with all Cage operations, including check cashing, chip sales, credit application processing, redemptions, and credit transactions in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Count and verify cash drawers at the start and end of each shift, documenting any discrepancies according to standard procedure.
  • Issue chips and tokens to guests for cash, and redeem complimentary coupons in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Receive payments for markers and record them in the computer system, and deposit paid markers to the bank.
  • Redeem chips or tokens for cash at guest request, and cash all checks within standard procedures.
  • Verify and process Main Bank buys for gaming funds or fills, and receive soft count drops into the Main Bank.
  • Prepare deposits to the Bank, and balance the drawer at the end of each shift.
  • Redeem TiTO tickets as required by standard procedure, and take Credit applications, run Credit reports, and maintain Credit files.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Strong guest service experience and working as part of a team.
  • 9-12 months of cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 30 lbs.
  • Must understand and speak the English language.
  • Must be 21 years of age or over.
  • Ability to work mid evenings/nights and weekends.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee requires manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs., occasionally.
