Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Career Advancement Specialist to join our team at Improve Your Tomorrow, Inc. This role will focus on supporting the academic success of young men of color through collaborative partnerships with schools and community organizations.

About the Role

The Career Advancement Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of our core services, including data tracking and financial management. This individual will also contribute to building a culture of philanthropy within our organization through fundraising activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Impact
    • Meet annual goals in areas such as GPA, college attendance, program engagement, A-G completion, and retention
    • Oversee the implementation of our core services
    • Manage program data through Salesforce
    • Track and manage expenses at the site level
  • School Partnership
    • Establish and maintain relationships with school site stakeholders, including principals, teachers, and other staff members
    • Administer student site councils and parent site councils
  • AmeriCorps Member Experience
    • Provide weekly coaching sessions to AmeriCorps members
    • Participate in quarterly learning and development opportunities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with young men of color, preferably in an academic setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Management experience preferred
Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of $45,600 - $68,400 per year, based on location and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life AD&D, and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match.

The estimated salary range is calculated based on the job requirements, education level, and expected work experience.
