  • Shipping Operations
    • Oversee the daily shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
    • Manage and supervise the shipping team, providing guidance and support.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
  • Inventory Management
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock for shipping needs.
    • Prepare and manage shipping/receiving documentation, including bills of lading and invoices.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations and company policies.
    • Implement and maintain shipping/receiving best practices and procedures.
  • Performance Metrics
    • Track and report on shipping SQDCI metrics and performance.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve shipping efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Team Management
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
    • Provide training and development opportunities for shipping/receiving staff.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Two-year degree with equal emphasis on Supply Chain or Logistics or equivalent experience.
  • Experience
    • 2+ years experience in distribution center preferred.
    • Experience in Lean manufacturing preferred.
  • Skills
    • Proven experience as a Shipping Supervisor or similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving processes and best practices.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
