About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Pyramid Global Hospitality. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of daily food production, preparation, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, costing, and implementation
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment
  • Lead and motivate the culinary team, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Manage kitchen finances, analyzing and controlling costs to achieve a profitable operation
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of food allergens, ensuring guest safety and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure prep sheets are up-to-date and being used effectively
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of seasonal menus and special menus
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience working in a high-volume professional kitchen
  • College degree in culinary arts or related field
  • Proven track record of work with creative menus, reflecting seasonal availability
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
